BUDDHISM CONCEPTS

 
Buddhism like any other beliefs is based on the practices or core concepts. There are many branches of Buddhisms and many of which have their own set of concepts where some of those concepts overlap. As an introduction to Buddhism we will look at few main concepts of Buddhism: Buddhas, Karma, Nirvana, Reality and Rebirt.
 
  • Buddhas - Theravada Buddha and Mahayana Buddha is briefly reviewed
  • Karma - Actions which spring from mental intent or mental obsessions which bring about a fruit or result
  • Nirvana - Acheiving "Awakening" or "Enlightenment"
  • Reality - Perception of reality
  • Rebirth - Rebirth means beings go through a succession of lives, each running from conception to death, as one of many possible forms of sentient life.
